Data shows a clear split in user priorities: 42% of employees label mobile access as extremely important, while 26% consider it very important. This shift reflects a broader expectation for transparency and control over personal finances in the digital age.
Workers Demand Seamless Mobile Access to Payroll Data
Two-thirds of American workers now view mobile access to payroll information as a critical workplace requirement. According to the 2026 Getting Paid In America survey, 68% of respondents prioritize the ability to check pay stubs and deductions from their smartphones, mirroring the convenience they expect from modern banking applications.
Moin Uddin, president of Corpay Prepaid, noted that employees are bridging the gap between everyday financial services and their workplace compensation. By digitizing these interactions, payroll teams can reduce friction and provide the instant visibility today’s workforce demands. The full results of the study, which engaged more than 11,000 participants nationwide, are scheduled for release later this year.
