Neal Alvarez has cultivated a reputation as a specialist in risk management and employee benefits. A graduate of the University of Mississippi, he transitioned from a property and casualty broker to his current role at Marsh McLennan Agency. Since joining the Carolinas AGC Young Leader Program in 2018, he has served as an active member of the organization’s Young Leader Action Team, consistently advocating for the association's mission.
Carolinas AGC Names Two Recipients of Top Young Leader Award
During the July Construction Summit & Expo, Carolinas AGC recognized Neal Alvarez of Marsh McLennan and Emily Talbert of Reeves Construction with its Top Young Leader Award. The honor highlights professionals aged 45 and under who demonstrate exceptional commitment to both the regional construction sector and their local communities.

Emily Talbert brings a diverse operational background to her recognition. Since joining Reeves Construction in 2020, she has navigated roles ranging from marketing department founder to project engineer and estimator. Currently serving as an Account Manager at the Blacksburg Quarry in South Carolina, Talbert focuses on expanding opportunities for women in the field. She holds leadership positions with the South Carolina Aggregates Association and the Women of Asphalt South Carolina Branch, while also contributing to the Carolinas AGC Young Leader Action Team.
