Curriculum Associates selected Daningburg and Tennant from a pool of more than 170 candidates across the country. The recognition program highlights K–8 instructors who demonstrate excellence in utilizing i-Ready tools to foster inclusive learning environments. Beyond the award, both teachers will participate in a yearlong professional leadership program designed to connect top-tier educators for national collaboration.
New York Educators Named 2026 Extraordinary Educators
Two New York teachers, Trisha Daningburg of Campbell Savona Jr/Sr High School and Megan Tennant of Holy Family School, have been named to the 2026 class of Extraordinary Educators. The pair secured their spots among 26 national honorees for their exceptional use of data to drive student growth and classroom innovation.
Daningburg, based in Campbell-Savona, highlighted the value of networking with peers nationwide to bring fresh perspectives back to her local community. For Tennant, who serves as both a classroom teacher and a curriculum lead for the Diocese of Rockville Centre, the honor serves as validation of the impact her work has on student outcomes. The cohort will ultimately convene at the annual Extraordinary Educators Leadership Summit to share instructional strategies and refine their leadership skills.
