Award-winning chef Bader Alshaikh and culinary curator Myasem Adham anchored the experience, leading live demonstrations that bridged the gap between traditional techniques and contemporary palate preferences. Visitors sampled iconic staples such as haneeth—a slow-cooked lamb dish—alongside crispy mutabbaq and balila. The menu ventured further into innovation with mango mocktails spiced with Haili sarar and ice cream infused with local staples like sidr honey and kleija.
Saudi Culinary Heritage Takes Center Stage at Taste of London
Amidst the bustling atmosphere of Regent’s Park, the 'Taste of Saudi Culture' pavilion offered an immersive gateway into the Kingdom’s gastronomic traditions. From June 17 to 21, the Culinary Arts Commission showcased a blend of ancient recipes and modern interpretations, transforming the festival into a vibrant exchange of regional flavors and hospitality.

Beyond the kitchen, the pavilion functioned as a cultural hub, highlighting artisans from across the Kingdom. The showcase featured a curated selection of perfumes, pottery, and specialty food products including dates and traditional coffee. Mayada Badr, CEO of the Culinary Arts Commission, emphasized that these sensory experiences serve as a primary vehicle for sharing Saudi Arabia’s heritage with global audiences. This participation marks a strategic push by the Ministry of Culture to elevate the Kingdom’s culinary profile on the international stage, turning the festival into a platform for both cultural storytelling and commercial engagement.
