Newmark Taps CBRE Veteran Munish Viralam to Lead Consulting Expansion
Munish Viralam has joined Newmark Group as Executive Vice Chairman to spearhead the firm’s Real Estate Strategy & Consulting Group. Based in New York, the industry veteran will oversee a centralized practice designed to bolster the company’s brokerage capabilities through high-level financial analysis and complex occupancy strategy for institutional clients.
Newmark CEO Barry Gosin emphasized that the appointment reflects a broader strategy to prioritize planning and analytical rigor in the face of increasingly complex client requirements. According to Sean Moynihan, Newmark’s Regional Managing Director for the Tri-State area, Viralam’s expertise will be deployed to connect best practices across the firm's global platform. Viralam noted that the move to Newmark is driven by the firm's entrepreneurial culture and the opportunity to scale strategic consulting frameworks within one of the sector's fastest-growing organizations.
