The site represents a strategic expansion of ATI’s forging capabilities, designed to streamline the transition from raw component creation to final inspection. This integrated approach allows the manufacturer to increase throughput while meeting the rigorous quality standards required for modern jet engines. The project falls within the company’s previously established capital expenditure guidance.
ATI Opens Aerospace Manufacturing Facility in Mexico
A newly commissioned facility in Chihuahua, Mexico, now anchors ATI Inc.’s efforts to alleviate aerospace supply chain bottlenecks. By consolidating machining, nondestructive testing, and quality verification into a single workflow, the company aims to accelerate the production of engine components for both legacy and next-generation aviation programs.

Kimberly A. Fields, ATI’s Board Chair, President and CEO, noted that the investment targets persistent constraints in the aerospace value stream. By leveraging the local skilled workforce in Chihuahua, the company intends to bolster its supply chain resilience to keep pace with rising global demand in the defense and aerospace sectors.
