Meta adds a stationary charging stand for smart glasses

Priced at $59, Meta’s new stainless steel charging stand offers a permanent home for smart glasses on a desk or nightstand. Unlike the portable charging case, this accessory requires a constant USB-C connection, shifting the focus from on-the-go power to stationary display and overnight utility.

The stand features a minimalist metal tube design with a dedicated groove for the frames. It includes a silicone rubber base to ensure stability, weighing in at 108 grams. A built-in LED indicator provides visual feedback, glowing orange during the power cycle and switching to green once the battery reaches capacity. Meta estimates a full charge takes just over an hour, with a 20-minute burst providing 50 percent power.

Compatibility covers the Wayfarer, Skylar, and Headliner Ray-Ban models, alongside Meta’s more affordable smart glasses lineup. However, the hardware does not support Meta Ray-Ban Display or Oakley Meta Vanguard units. Orders currently show delivery estimates for late June.
