TriNetX Expands Global Health Data Network to 300 Million Patient Records

With over 300 million patient records now live, TriNetX has scaled its federated health data network across 240 healthcare organizations worldwide. This milestone marks a significant shift in clinical research, providing pharmaceutical firms and academic institutions with a unified, real-time source of EHR-native data to support drug discovery and patient safety.

The network’s rapid expansion reflects a broader push toward harmonizing fragmented health data. Researchers previously relied on disparate sources for trial design and post-market safety, often facing inconsistencies that hindered medical progress. By integrating live, bi-directional data feeds from 13,000 sites, TriNetX aims to replace trial-and-error decision-making with high-fidelity evidence.

Growth is particularly strong outside the United States, which accounted for the majority of the 52 million patients added between April 2025 and April 2026. The platform currently hosts 186 million records in the U.S., 72 million in EMEA, 23 million in Latin America, and 21 million in the APAC region. According to Steve Lethbridge, Senior Vice President of Global Healthcare Partnerships, the objective extends beyond the sheer volume of data. The platform provides a defensible foundation for decisions that directly influence clinical outcomes, ensuring that researchers access current, clinically rich information without the delays associated with traditional data aggregation.
