Moldova Positions Itself as Europe’s Emerging Digital Innovation Hub
With 4,000 attendees gathering in Chișinău for the Moldova Digital Summit 2026, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos declared the nation a digital success story. The event highlighted how Moldova’s ICT sector is moving beyond regional service provision to become a cornerstone of the country's economic integration with the European Union.

Moldova has already digitized 78% of public services for businesses, a shift that saved citizens and companies EUR 44 million and over 9.3 million hours in 2025. The summit also debuted the EVO 2.0 application, which features a digital identity wallet compliant with the European Digital Identity framework. Looking forward, officials announced plans for the Moldova HiTech Park, a 50-hectare campus near the capital expected to attract €200 million in investment for nanotechnology and HealthTech development.
