Conventional automated storage systems often require massive capital outlays and facility overhauls, leaving many warehouses reliant on manual labor. J-Elephant offers an alternative with its vertical pallet robot (VPR) solution, capable of managing storage at heights between 4 and 11 meters. By operating in ultra-narrow aisles and allowing for zone-by-zone implementation, the technology avoids the production downtime typically associated with warehouse upgrades.
Geek+ Backs J-Elephant to Scale Vertical Pallet Automation
Warehouse robotics giant Geek+ has secured a strategic stake in J-Elephant, a developer of vertical pallet robot technology. The partnership aims to bypass the high costs and complex infrastructure requirements of traditional high-bay storage by deploying flexible, rapid-installation automated systems across international markets.

For Geek+, which currently serves over 950 global clients including Walmart and BMW, the investment provides a pathway to integrate low-infrastructure pallet automation into its existing AMR ecosystem. The collaboration focuses on three strategic pillars: open-architecture integration with third-party orchestration platforms, the rollout of high-lift models for international markets, and the deployment of standardized packages for both greenfield sites and brownfield retrofits. By leveraging Geek+’s service network across more than 40 countries, J-Elephant intends to accelerate its global footprint, signaling a shift for Chinese robotics firms from selling individual hardware to exporting complete, scalable logistics ecosystems.
