Cash App Enters Wireless Market With AT&T-Powered Service

Cash App is moving into the telecommunications sector, launching an unlimited 5G mobile service that bundles cellular connectivity directly into its existing financial ecosystem. Partnering with the infrastructure provider Gigs, the platform aims to capture the budget-conscious market with a flat monthly rate of $40.

The new mobile offering leverages AT&T’s network to provide unlimited data, talk, and text, including HD streaming and 10 GB of monthly hotspot capacity. Beyond domestic coverage, the plan includes data roaming in Canada and Mexico, positioning it as a direct competitor to other fintech-branded wireless products like the one introduced by Klarna last year.

Cash App intends to integrate the service into its broader financial suite, specifically linking mobile billing with its Cash App Green rewards program and Cash App Families accounts. By housing mobile expenses alongside spending and savings tools, the company is attempting to streamline recurring costs for its user base. The service is currently rolling out to select customers, with a wider release scheduled for the coming months.
