By positioning his granite as a novel, cost-competitive alternative for kitchen designers, he secured early partnerships with major distributors. This first-mover advantage transformed a niche import into a near-monopoly, establishing the foundation for Pokarna’s expansion.
A pivotal shift occurred when a client suggested he pivot to engineered quartz. Jain embraced the move, partnering with Italian machinery firm Breton to train his team on the latest manufacturing technology. Despite launching the product line during the global financial crisis, the company saw immediate success, running its plants 24 hours a day as demand recovered. Today, Pokarna operates multiple facilities and is expanding its capacity to 2.23 million square meters of production, positioning it among the largest quartz manufacturers globally.
