The Parent Resource Center, based in downtown Frederick, operates as a centralized hub connecting families of neurodivergent children with local events and vetted resources. LINKZ, which previously operated outside the region, established a local presence to accommodate the rising number of families traveling to access its specialized tutoring and literacy instruction.
Frederick County Organizations Partner to Expand Educational Support
Demand for specialized academic services in Frederick has prompted a new partnership between the Parent Resource Center and the tutoring firm LINKZ. By aligning their community networks, the two organizations aim to simplify the search for support for families navigating dyslexia, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges.

Founder Ashley VanCleef noted that many parents struggle to identify reliable support systems, a problem the collaboration seeks to resolve through streamlined referrals. Jake Ferentz, CEO of LINKZ, emphasized that the alliance provides a clear pathway for families feeling overwhelmed by the current landscape of educational services. This initiative underscores a broader trend in Frederick County, where local businesses and community groups are increasingly integrating their services to address specific regional needs.
