Bridge Defense Secures $63 Million Deal for Military Software Delivery

The Department of War has finalized a one-year agreement with Bridge Defense, unlocking up to $63 million in software engineering capacity to accelerate mission-ready deployments. Initially focused on U.S. Special Operations Command, the contract utilizes the CDAO Tradewinds ecosystem to bypass traditional, fragmented procurement cycles for classified technology.

The agreement centers on CodeBridge, a proprietary development model that shifts the focus from billable hours to fixed-price capability units. By pairing cleared engineering teams with Farspan—a platform specifically architected for secure, government-grade environments—the company aims to deliver functional software rather than just development effort. This structure allows military units to order specific outcomes, such as Super Intelligence workflows or data integrations, with immediate effect.

Bridge Defense CEO Jack Kilcoyne noted that the model addresses the persistent gap between identifying an operational requirement and fielding a solution. Having earned "Awardable" status in the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace in 2025, the company validated this approach through multiple engagements earlier this year. With USSOCOM serving as the initial ordering activity, the contract is structured to scale across other Department of War components as demand for rapid software deployment grows.
