North.cloud Secures $60 Million to Automate Cloud and AI Spending

With nearly $2 billion in cloud infrastructure under management, New York-based North.cloud has closed a $60 million Series B funding round. Led by PeakSpan Capital, the capital will fuel the firm’s mission to move beyond simple cost visibility, replacing manual financial oversight with autonomous, agent-driven infrastructure optimization.

North.cloud Secures $60 Million to Automate Cloud and AI Spending

Modern infrastructure has become increasingly complex as companies integrate AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure alongside emerging AI platforms. This fragmentation forces engineering and finance teams to manually reconcile disparate data, a process that often leads to significant inefficiencies. North.cloud positions its platform as a financial operating system designed to automate these workflows, effectively treating cloud and AI spending as a unified business challenge rather than a purely technical one.

The company’s latest funding round included participation from Litquidity Ventures, Companyon Ventures, Alpaca, Uncommon Denominator, Gaingels, and Mana Ventures. This influx of capital arrives shortly after the launch of North v3, which completed the platform's coverage across the three major cloud providers and introduced native integrations for Snowflake, OpenAI, and Anthropic. According to the company, North has already helped clients—including AssemblyAI, Tines, and Atlan—realize over $400 million in savings.

CEO Matt Biringer argues that the industry’s reliance on dashboards is outdated, noting that the platform's goal is to eliminate manual intervention entirely. By leveraging automated commitment laddering and its TokenFlow system for AI usage attribution, North aims to offload the burden of spend management from engineering teams. PeakSpan Capital partner Sanket Merchant emphasized that the firm’s investment is rooted in the belief that the market leader will be defined not by visibility, but by the ability to autonomously manage the entire lifecycle of enterprise technology spending.
