Cecilia Dong Joins SightMD New York to Expand Flushing Eye Care
Patients in Queens now have expanded access to specialized glaucoma treatment as Dr. Cecilia Dong joins the SightMD practice in Flushing. A fellowship-trained ophthalmologist, Dr. Dong brings expertise in advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive glaucoma procedures and premium intraocular lens implantation, to the established medical group.
Her medical background includes a residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident, and a fellowship at Acuity Eye Group in California. Dr. Dong holds a degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and was the first recipient of the Research to Prevent Blindness Medical Student Fellowship at the institution. Beyond her clinical work, she maintains an active research profile, having authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented findings at international ophthalmology forums. Appointments for her new practice in Flushing are currently open to the public.
