The initiative follows a nomination process launched in April, where local communities and coaches highlighted the logistical hurdles keeping children off the pitch. Beyond the national grant rollout, the company has committed an additional $500,000 in scholarships specifically for clubs in its operational hubs, including New York City, Central New York, Twin Falls, Idaho, Philadelphia, and Norton Shores, Michigan. These funds are earmarked for player development, equipment, and professional certification for coaching staff.
Chobani Distributes $5 Million to Youth Soccer Clubs Nationwide
Five hundred youth soccer clubs across the United States are set to receive $10,000 grants each, as part of a $5 million initiative by Chobani. The "Feed the Dream" program aims to dismantle financial barriers to participation, covering costs ranging from tournament registration fees and travel expenses to essential field infrastructure.

Hamdi Ulukaya, founder and CEO of Chobani, framed the investment as a commitment to fostering environments where children can develop confidence and social bonds. The company, which serves as the official nutrition partner of U.S. Soccer, emphasized that the grants are flexible, allowing clubs to address their most immediate financial deficits. While the selected clubs are currently undergoing final eligibility verification, the program represents a significant attempt to subsidize the rising costs of youth athletics that often exclude families from organized sports participation.
