Dataweavers Scales Sovereign Cloud Hosting for SitecoreAI

As global data residency mandates tighten, Dataweavers is pushing its Arc hosting platform into China, the Middle East, and Canada. The expansion allows enterprises to deploy SitecoreAI-powered experiences on local infrastructure, bypassing the need to overhaul existing digital platforms to meet strict regional compliance standards.

The initiative targets the growing friction between high-performance AI delivery and rigid in-country data storage laws. By running within a customer's own Azure tenant, Arc provides region-specific compute and delivery layers, ensuring that transactional and personal data remain within sovereign borders. This architecture includes integrated governance and security protocols managed under a unified service level agreement.

Darren Paterson, President of Asia Pacific and Japan at Sitecore, noted that the model supports complex, regulated clients by streamlining the path to local deployment. Owen Brandt, Chief Revenue Officer at Dataweavers, emphasized that companies require a platform strategy capable of scaling across borders without requiring a full rebuild for each new market. While the infrastructure is designed to handle local requirements, including the strict environments found in China, the company cautioned that specific AI features relying on third-party services may vary based on regional constraints.
