WaBa Grill Marks Two Decades with 2006-Era Pricing

To celebrate twenty years of serving fast-casual rice bowls, Anaheim-based WaBa Grill is rolling back prices to 2006 levels. On November 11, the chain will offer its signature Chicken & Veggie bowl for five dollars, alongside a limited-time vanilla crepe cake debuting across its four-state footprint this month.

The anniversary promotion kicks off October 12, marking two decades since the brand first introduced its health-conscious, Asian-inspired menu to the Los Angeles market. For six weeks, the company will push daily rewards through its mobile app, signaling an aggressive push to engage its core fan base as the chain nears its 200th location. The expansion now spans California, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas, fueled by a franchise model that emphasizes fresh proteins and signature sauces.

Beyond the menu specials, the company is using the milestone to recognize military service. On Veterans Day, all locations will provide a complimentary slice of the new gluten-free vanilla crepe cake—topped with a mixed berry compote—to veterans while supplies last. CEO Andrew Kim credited the brand’s longevity to a consistent product and a customer base that prioritizes balanced, accessible meals over traditional fast-food alternatives.
