Dr. Lakshmi Srinivasan joins as Senior Vice President of Translational Medicine, while Dr. Brandon Coder takes the role of Vice President of Translational Sciences & Discovery. Both scientists bring extensive experience from their previous tenures at Moderna, where they were deeply involved in the research and development of mRNA-4157, a high-profile cancer vaccine. Their arrival is timed to support a rigorous development schedule for Everest’s pipeline, which includes the personalized vaccine candidate EVM16 and the tumor-associated antigen therapy EVM14.
Everest Medicines Recruits Moderna Veterans to Drive mRNA Vaccine R&D
Everest Medicines is bolstering its oncology portfolio by appointing former Moderna executives Lakshmi Srinivasan and Brandon Coder to lead its translational medicine and clinical development efforts. The move signals an aggressive push to scale the company's proprietary mRNA platform and accelerate key clinical trials across global markets.

The company’s roadmap includes a Phase 1b investigator-initiated trial for EVM16 slated for the fourth quarter of 2026, followed by a U.S. IND submission in early 2027. Additionally, the Phase 1 study for EVM14 is expected to conclude in the first quarter of 2027. By integrating these experts into its U.S. and China operations, Everest aims to leverage its internal library of over 600 lipids and third-generation AI algorithms to enhance the immunogenicity of its therapeutic programs.
