The acquisition of Energía Occidente de México (EOM) integrates the Manzanillo pipeline with ESENTIA’s existing Villa de Reyes-Aguascalientes-Guadalajara system. ESENTIA to Acquire Guadalajara-Manzanillo Pipeline for $400 Million
ESENTIA Energy Development has agreed to acquire the 313-kilometer Guadalajara-Manzanillo natural gas pipeline system for $400 million. The deal, finalized with sellers TC Energía Mexicana and TCPL CentrOriente, positions ESENTIA as the sole private operator with an integrated network stretching from the Texas Permian Basin to Mexico’s Pacific coast.
The Guadalajara-Manzanillo system includes two primary segments: a 5.5-kilometer line connecting to the Manzanillo regasification terminal and a 307.3-kilometer line that links the region to the national SISTRANGAS grid. ESENTIA plans to fund the purchase through a combination of existing liquidity and credit facilities, noting that the transaction is not expected to increase its overall gross indebtedness. The deal remains subject to standard regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
