Hormel Foods Taps Tyson Executive Ash Bhumbla as New CFO
Hormel Foods Corporation has appointed Ash Bhumbla as its new executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective September 8. The move marks a significant leadership shift for the Austin-based food giant as it looks to modernize its financial strategy and accelerate long-term growth across its global portfolio.

At Hormel, Bhumbla will oversee capital allocation and the company's broader financial trajectory. Paul Kuehneman, who has served as interim CFO since October 2025, will remain with the organization to facilitate the transition. John Ghingo, president of Hormel Foods, credited Bhumbla’s background in consumer-focused protein businesses as a vital asset for the company’s future positioning. Kuehneman, a long-term veteran who joined Hormel in 1993, will continue to serve in a senior leadership capacity within the finance department.
