The new Electric Horseman lift serves as the centerpiece of this development, designed to cut transit times to just six minutes while providing 1,850 vertical feet of travel per lap. By facilitating direct access to the back mountain, the quad aims to alleviate congestion and improve the flow for skiers traversing the area. Complementing the lift is Storyteller, an upper-intermediate groomed run that replaces the former Far East Ridgeline. Beyond the wide, scenic turns, the run introduces three expert-level gladed chutes that weave through the trees before reconnecting with the base.
Sundance Mountain Resort Expands Terrain for 2026/2027 Season
With the debut of the Electric Horseman high-speed quad and the 1.7-mile Storyteller ridge run, Sundance Mountain Resort is unlocking 100 acres of fresh terrain. This expansion marks a pivotal moment for the Utah destination, pushing its total skiable footprint to 605 acres while streamlining access to the resort's rugged back mountain.

These additions follow a five-year cycle of infrastructure upgrades, including the 2021 installation of the Outlaw Express and the recent opening of the Mountain Camp Day Lodge. The naming conventions for the new features reflect the resort's creative heritage, specifically honoring founder Robert Redford’s long-standing commitment to storytelling. As the resort transitions under new stewardship, these improvements continue the effort to balance the property’s artistic history with modern, high-capacity mountain operations.
