Michael David Winery Appoints Michael Stein as VP of National Sales
Lodi’s family-owned Michael David Winery has appointed industry veteran Michael Stein as Vice President of National Sales, tasking him with steering the brand’s expansion strategy. Stein steps into the role immediately, bringing over 20 years of experience from leadership positions at major organizations like Robert Mondavi and King Estate Winery.
Stein described the move as an opportunity to steward the legacy of a winery that has defined the Lodi region since its first commercial release in 1984. The winery, currently operated by the sixth generation of the Phillips family, manages over 900 acres of vineyards and produces labels such as Freakshow and Earthquake. Stein’s appointment marks a strategic effort to translate the family’s agricultural history into broader national distribution.
