Universal Music Group Accelerates €250 Million Share Buyback
Between August 10 and August 14, Universal Music Group repurchased 9.4 million shares at an average price of €15.08, marking a rapid deployment of its latest capital allocation strategy. This aggressive pace brings the company’s total expenditure to over €193 million in just over a week of active trading.

These repurchases represent a significant portion of the total fund, with roughly 77% of the allocated €250 million already deployed within the initial days of the program. UMG continues to operate its broader business segments, spanning recorded music, publishing, and merchandising, while managing these capital market activities.
