CEO Harrison Gross noted that the company not only sustained its first-quarter momentum but accelerated it, successfully pushing gross margins back into positive territory at 24%. This turnaround follows a difficult prior-year period when the company contended with import tariffs. Management reported that mitigation efforts have largely restored margins to levels consistent with their original business plan, despite ongoing fluctuations in operating expenses.
The company’s path forward relies on a broadening retail footprint. Innovative Eyewear recently initiated a rollout across approximately 345 FYidoctors and Visique clinics in Canada and secured a wearables test program with a major global retailer covering 183 stores, set to launch in October. Beyond retail, the firm is exploring enterprise demand, with several industrial and logistics companies currently testing smart glasses for workforce applications, alongside a new white-label channel for legacy eyewear brands.
