The "There's More" initiative introduces a philosophy of "radical hospitality" for the county’s 1.3 million Catholics. Drawing on expertise from former Disney executives, the program focuses on reshaping church culture, from renaming ushers as "hospitality ministers" to ensuring physical comfort in parking lots and pews. Auxiliary Bishop Timothy Freyer described the effort as a commitment to an open-handed approach, ensuring that every person feels a sense of belonging regardless of their history with the faith.
To track progress, the diocese is releasing a new mobile application called "PrayServe." Parishioners are encouraged to log their contributions toward collective goals: 500,000 hours of service, 500,000 hours of Adoration, and 500,000 rosaries. These targets form the pillars of a broader strategy to integrate faith into daily life across the diocese’s 58 parishes.
