The litigation centers on allegations that Zillow executives issued materially false or misleading statements regarding the company's agreement with Redfin Corporation. According to the complaint, Zillow characterized the deal as a partnership, while allegedly failing to disclose that it functioned as an acquisition. This omission purportedly exposed the company to heightened regulatory scrutiny and potential antitrust liability, which remained downplayed even after legal challenges surfaced. Investors claim these actions caused significant financial damages once the true nature of the agreement reached the market.
Zillow Investors Face August 10 Deadline in Securities Fraud Case
Investors who purchased Zillow Group, Inc. Class A or Class C common stock between February 11, 2025, and May 7, 2026, have until August 10, 2026, to move the court to serve as lead plaintiff in a pending securities class action lawsuit filed by The Rosen Law Firm.

Those who held stock during the specified period may seek compensation through a contingency fee arrangement, meaning no out-of-pocket costs are required for legal representation. While the court has not yet certified a class, interested parties may contact Phillip Kim at The Rosen Law Firm to join the action. Serving as a lead plaintiff is optional, and individual investors may retain their own counsel or choose to remain absent class members while the case proceeds.
